Winnebago Micro Minnie Schwintek Slide-Out Resynchronization

Winnebago Micro Minnie travel trailer · Slide-out repair · Repair completed

Customer complaint

What the customer noticed

One side of the Winnebago Micro Minnie slide-out would not fully extend or retract. The right side moved about a foot before the left side started, then stopped and restarted as the other side caught up, producing uneven, stop-and-start movement.

Diagnostic findings

What inspection and testing revealed

A thin storage box had slipped behind the slide-out’s interior fascia and become wedged between the slide room and the RV wall. The obstruction stalled one side of the Lippert Schwintek In-Wall slide-out. Repeated attempts to operate the room left the two slide motors out of synchronization. The RV uses a Lippert dual-motor synchronous velocity slide controller labeled part 13398-DO.

Work performed or recommended

What Sunset did or recommended

Removed the box and cleared the slide-out path. The initial Schwintek motor-resynchronization procedure did not restore even movement, so the controller’s electronic manual override was used as part of the recovery process. Repeated the synchronization procedure until both slide-out motors traveled together through full extension and retraction. The customer was also shown how to access the electronic override and when it is appropriate to use it.

Outcome and next step

Where the service call stands

The Winnebago Micro Minnie slide-out now extends and retracts evenly on both sides. No parts were required. The obstruction was removed, the Schwintek motors were resynchronized, and normal slide-room operation was restored. Owners should always check the complete slide path inside and outside the RV before operating a slide-out.
